Level 1: Improving Your Nature Photographs. For beginner to early intermediate photographers who have been taking digital photos for a while and would like to gain a greater understanding of exposure control, composition, light control, and abilities to use the features of your camera as these apply to subjects in nature.

In this workshop, we apply what you already know about photo technique to taking better nature images, and then we build on that base with new technical and artistic knowledge to explore more in-depth photography of nature.

Throughout the day we will take on new challenges of taking nature photographs including flowers, difficult lighting situations, beginning close-up/macro photography, moving subjects, subjects with high contrast, and difficult compositions. Be prepared to take lots of photographs and to explore a variety of creative techniques and camera settings.
